The Experience

The magic is in the moments.

Your Wedding Isn’t About Taking Photos

It’s About Making Memories

I believe your wedding day should be centered around what is important to you and your partner. Instead of focusing on photos, create a day that is unique to you two, and simply allow yourselves to be present. While we will take the time to get beautiful portraits, I want the focus to be on enjoying your day. Your wedding is such a special time when you are surrounded by all those that matter most, and you should soak it up! Let go, have fun, and take the time to connect with each other and your loved ones. If you let yourself get lost in the moments not only will your day be so much more meaningful, but we will create heartfelt images you will cherish forever.

Presence, Connection, Honest Moments

What to Expect

Step 01: Getting to Know Each Other

The first step is setting up a time for us to discuss your day in more detail. I want to learn all about the two of you, your vision for your wedding, and what is important to you. I will share more about my approach as well. After our call, if you would like to move forward with booking, I will have you email me what you want included in your package. I will then send over a customized contract you can electronically sign and a link to pay the retainer.

Step 02: Engagement Session

We will work together to plan a session unique to the two of you. I encourage you to think about places that are special to you as a couple and tell a story about this time in your lives. This allows us to make much more meaningful photos. And of course, my favorite aspect of the engagement session is getting to spend time with you two. It really helps to go into the wedding day feeling like friends rather than a vendor you only had meetings with.

Step 03: Planning a Meeting

I will email you two months prior to your wedding to arrange a time for us to talk through all the final details of the day. We chat through the timeline, photo locations, and what is most important to the two of you.

Step 04: Wedding Day

I want you to simply be present and have fun! To focus on connecting with your loved ones and enjoying time together. This will enable me to capture real moments and those little details that mean so much. We will of course get beautiful portraits too.

Step 05: Final Delivery

Within one month, I will deliver a beautiful online gallery of images that you can share with family and friends. You will also have access to the high-resolution files and the ability to order professional prints. If you purchased an album as part of your package, you will also receive the initial album design at this time.

Commonly Asked Questions

Where are you based?

I am in the western suburbs of Chicago, but I often shoot on the Northshore and in the city. I also spend a majority of the summer in northern Michigan (Petoskey and Harbor Springs) and would love to connect with you there.

How would you describe your style?

My photography aesthetic can best be described as genuine, heartfelt, and timeless. I want to document your life at this time. I am less concerned with perfectly posed photos and instead focus on the little moments that weave together to tell the story of your day.

Has your work been featured?

Yes, my work has been featured in the summer 2017 print issue of The Knot, Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8, BRIDES, Wedding Chicks, SPLASH (and in print), Modern Luxury Weddings, Let the Kids, Carats & Cake 1/2/3, Looks Like Film, 100 Layer Cake, Here Comes The Guide, MODWedding 1/2/3/4, Midwest Bride, Patch, Huffington Post, Refinery29, The Everygirl and Camille Styles.

Do you offer wedding albums?

Yes! Albums are so valuable especially in the digital age we live in. Although I do give you high-resolution files, I would hate to see your wedding photos live on your hard drive. After the wedding is over, the album is what you have to relive the day for years to come. It is what you have to share with your children and grandchildren. A high-quality album that will last forever is something you will always cherish. You can view a sample album here.

Do you offer high resolution files?

Yes, all of my wedding packages include high resolution files and printing rights.

Do you deliver images in color and black/white?

I deliver a mixture, choosing what I think works best for each individual photo. A majority of the photos will be in color.

Do you retouch images?

Every single image you receive is carefully edited; however, I don’t do any retouching. My goal is for your photos to look as natural and timeless as possible. I want you to look like yourself, not an overly edited version of yourself. With that being said, you can always choose to have retouching done at an additional cost.

What is your turn around time?

You can expect you receive your final gallery within one month of your wedding.

How many images can we expect?

This number varies, but you can expect approximately 700-900 images for a wedding day.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes, a certificate of insurance can be provided to your venue upon request.

How do we book you for our wedding?

If you are interested in booking me for your wedding, please email me to arrange a time for us to meet to discuss your day in more detail and get to know one another. If we are a great fit, a signed contract and 50% retainer are required to secure your date.

“She’s so kind and truly cares about getting to know you as a couple. It made such a difference in the whole wedding experience that she made us feel so comfortable!”
